RoboCylinder with 24 stepper, absolute encoder and rod. This is a type that does not build in a linear guide inside of the actuator. Of the RCP6 rod-types that resemble air cylinders, this is the least expensive model.

ICs are placed one after the other in the socket of the programmer, the programmer communicates over RS232 with the IAI TableTop, type TTA-C3G and a working range of 500 x 450 x 150 mm (X x Y x Z).
If the installation is successful, the IC is returned to the same position in the tray, if the installation fails, the IC is deposited in a separate tray.
With the Z-axis of the TableTop, the socket is opened using the push function. An additional IAI Robocylinder RCP-R has been mounted for the vertical movement of the vacuum gripper.
The trays are drawn in DXF format and can be imported directly and quickly as position coordinates in the IAI SEL software.
The automation has been programmed by one of ATB Automation's application engineers.
In the production of parts for forklifts, pick-and-place systems are used, which are made up of RCP RoboCylinders of IAI Industrial Robots.
For the horizontal movements, actuators are used with a carriage.
For the vertical movement an actuator with driven rod is used. This places plastic parts in the chasis.
The positioning is controlled in the IAI PCON controllers. Communication with the parent PLC is very simple via digital inputs and outputs.
The IAI actuators are deliverd with drive and cabling. Specifications of the actuator like forces and number of mm each revolution of the motor are already fixed. Because of this a a quick and safe commissioning is guaranteed.
The software engineers at ATB Automation assist in programming and commissioning via the help desk or on site
Besides control with I/O the drive can also be controlled with EtherCAT and ProfiNet.
The SD6 drive also has the CANopen option available.
