ATB Automation member of the EtherCAT Technology Group

The EtherCAT Technology Group keeps EtherCAT technology open to all potential users. It brings together manufacturers of EtherCAT equipment, technology suppliers and users to further develop the technology. It offers multiple technical working groups where experts carefully work on different specific aspects of EtherCAT. All of these activities are focused on one common goal: to keep EtherCAT stable and interoperable. That is why there is only one version of EtherCAT and not a new version every year.

The ETG organizes several Plug Fests every year in Europe, Asia and America. The Plug Fests bring together EtherCAT device developers to test and ensure device interoperability. Using the official EtherCAT Conformance Test Tool (CTT), each manufacturer tests their EtherCAT devices before they are released to the market. The ETG awards the manufacturer a certificate of conformity after a successful test in an accredited test laboratory. The ETG also holds international seminars and workshops and represents EtherCAT at trade shows around the world. It also offers product guides, joint trade show booths, and seminar exhibits to help its members market their EtherCAT products. The ETG has the largest number of members of any fieldbus organization in the world.

ATB Automation has become a member of the EtherCAT Technology Group because our team of application engineers frequently use EtherCAT as a fieldbus between controllers and the control system. With this they guarantee adequate technical support, training, programming and delivery of complete projects.

Our partners Trio Motion Technology, Stöber Antriebstechniek, Leadshine Technology and IAI Industrial Robots are also members of the EtherCAT Technology group.
