JAKOB Antriebstechnik has expanded its product range with ATEX-certified metal bellows couplings for use in potentially explosive environments.
According to the European ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU, components used in environments with gas, vapor or dust explosion risks must be designed in such a way that they do not pose any potential ignition source. This places high demands on both the design and operation of mechanical components, including couplings.
The new backlash-free metal bellows couplings and distance couplings from JAKOB are specifically developed for these applications and are certified for use within defined ATEX zones and temperature classes.
Typical applications can be found across a wide range of industries, including oil & gas, chemical, pharmaceutical, wood processing and food processing. In environments where dust (such as flour or wood dust) or vapors are present, these couplings provide a reliable and safe solution.
With this product range expansion, JAKOB supports machine builders and end users in designing safe and reliable drive systems for hazardous areas.
For more information, support in selecting the right coupling, or assistance with customized ATEX solutions, please feel free to contact us. We are happy to help you find the right solution for your application.
We supply slewing ring bearings, oscillating mountings, tensioner devices from stock and we also have spiral bevel gearboxes, servo gears and electromechanical actuators in our delivery program.
In addition we also select and offer the right components and systems for motion control solutions, such as servo gear motors, linear servo actuators and complete XYZ cartesian systems.
