Exlar FT electric rod linear actuators for forces up to 44.5 kN

The new Exlar FT45 electric rod style linear actuator has a continuous force rating of 44.5 kN, filling the gap between the existing FT35 and FT60 models. The FT Series roller screw driven actuators offer high thrust, high speed, and high robustness in a compact form factor, making them an ideal alternative to hydraulic cylinders.

Alternative to hydraulic cylinders

With continuous force rating to 178 kN, speed to 1,500mm/sec and stroke lengths from 150mm to 2,400mm the FT actuators can be applied across a wide range of linear motion applications.

The FT45 elektric cylinder features the following key enhancements:

• IP65 (min.) environmental protection standard on all mounting configurations;
• idler pulley design greatly simplifies motor installation and belt tensioning / maintenance;
• grease zerk fitting allows re-greasing of nut assembly without having to disassemble the unit;
• removable front seal bushing design greatly simplifies front seal maintenance / replacement.
