Roller Screw versus Ball Screw Actuators
In the ever-evolving field of engineering, roller screw technology has become a significant force in linear electric actuator motion control....
Date: 17 September 2024
On September 17 and 18, Curtiss-Wright organized the Exlar EMEA annual sales meeting, this time in Chanhassen, near Minneapolis, for several years. ATB Automation was represented by Martin van der Steenhoven and Henry le Noble.
One of the goals of organizing it in Chanhassen this year was to show the top dealers from Europe the optimization in production and assembly. In recent years, Curtiss-Wright has invested heavily in production machines for, among other things, the roller screws, the core of the Exlar product. This will result in high delivery reliability and shortened delivery times.
In addition, it is the ideal opportunity to meet everyone, including the entire management team, in person.
The latest product developments were presented by the product manager.
The new GTF actuator will be launched on the market at the end of 2024. In short, the GTX actuator in IP69K especially for the food industry.
The explosion-proof EVA80 actuator has now been launched on the market in the USA. This actuator has been specially developed for valve control in the process industry. The basis for this actuator is the TTX80 with integrated control. In 2025, ATEX certification is planned so that this actuator can also be used in explosion environments in Europe.
ATB Automation will introduce these new developments in the Benelux market next year.
