Demolition grabs and sorting grabs

Demolition grabs and sorting grabs are mounted on hydraulic cranes (up to 50 tons). The grabs disassemble and sort scrab. The Torriani slewing ring bearing allow a 360° rotation for the grabs.

Palletizer with Trio Motion Controller, Leadshine servo and Stöber gears

Flexible programmable 4-axis palletizer robot. Heart in this application is the Trio Motion Controller where the 4 axis robot with 4 Leadshine servo drives is controlled via a coordinate transformation. The fast EtherCAT connection between the Trio MC4N-ECAT controller and the drives ensures accurate and simple communication. In addition to the Trio Motion Controller, mechanical components are also used, such as a slewing ring bearing for the rotation movement and a rack and pinion for the horizontal movement. Each servo shaft is equipped with a Stöber planetary gearbox or angle worm gearbox.

Crushers with Torriani slewing rings

The crusher pulverizes concrete parts to be economically disposed of. Torriani slewing ring bearings are deployed for the 360° rotation of the crusher.

Welding manipulator with Exlar, Torriani and Stöber drive

Positioning heavy steel tubes up to 2 tons with manual control in any desired angle and height through five moveable axis. The five moveable axes provide a tilting motion, a rotary movement, an ingoing and outgoing sliding movement and a lifting movement.

An inclined, rotating disc with a diameter of 12 m on which 3 people ski at a peripheral speed of 30 km/h. The system is powered by Stöber drives where the rotating movement is realized with a Torriani slewing ring bearing and the inclined movement with NEFF lifting spindles. The complete drive and control system was developed and commissioned by ATB Automation.

With a bunker crane on oil tankers fuel and lubricants are the main products being reloaded on board of other vessels. One or two thick pipes run along the jib of the crane for the transport of the product. To reach the filling neck of the other vessel with the coupling, the bunker crane is mounted on a 360° turnable slewing ring bearing.

Heavy gear slewing ring bearing

Because the jibs of these cranes are relatively long, a high force is necessary to bring the crane into motion, therefore the slewing ring bearing must be equiped with heavy gear.
