Date: 27 June 2017
Since April 1th, two new colleagues strenghten the ATB Automation team in Mijdrecht. Geeta Debipersad works as a Marketing & Communications employee and Onno Roëll as a sales engineer. Both would like to introduce themselves.
Let me introduce myself: Geeta Debipersad
Since March 31th 2017, Geeta Debipersad reinforces the team in the position of Marketing & Communicatie employee. Geeta is 39 years old and says: ‘I graduated as a Bachelor in Communications in 2004 and then worked at several companies in various positions focused on marketing & communications. I was able to gain experience on various areas of marketing & communications, both online and offline.’
‘In this position I am repsonsible for managing all marketing & communication activities. Strenghtening the external positioning and reputation in the market are important objectives. ATB is a dynamic company where you have a lot of responsibility, but you also get the opportunity to give your input and you also have the right to engage in your work. For me two spects that are important in a job.’
Besides her work Geeta likes to be with her family, she is creative, likes to sport and loves shopping, clothes and jewelry. She also regularly engages as a volunteer on projects that are aimed at children. With more than 10 years of experience in the marketing & communications, Geeta knows her way in both online and offline communications. After an intensive training Geeta is self-employed and has found her place at ATB Automation.
Geeta says: ‘Working in marketing & communications offers a lot of possibilities and that is so great about my position. A lot of diversity and dynamics! I just love the creativity in my work. The products and services of ATB are very extensive and miscellaneous. There is a lot to discover for me. My work here is incredibly fun, dynamic, very diverse and not a moment of boredom!’
Let me introduce myself: Onno Roëll
Since April 1th Onno Roëll strenghtens the salesteam as a sales engineer. Onno is 50 years old, single and lives in the center of Rotterdam. Onno tells about himself: ‘I have two passions; technique and music. As a hobby I am a drummer in various bands, among which a Joe Cocker tribute band. Besides that I love the Burgundian life with lots of humour together with friends. I also like to attend rallycross- or stockcarraces.’
‘After the MTS- Mechanical engineering- commercial technique I started from scratch as an aluminium lasser and then climbed up to business manager in a small company of technical wholesale and production facilities in ventilation technology. In 2002 I started my own technical wholesale in HVAC with a companion, unfortunately the crisis went on (housing and utility construction) and after a few years we went bankrupt. I wanted to work in the ‘real technique’ and didn’t want to know anything more about the unexpected housing and utility related business. I used to work as a sales engineer linear drives and later as an application engineer electric rotary and linear drive technology. Due to a reorganization in the sales and the many introduced procedures, I didn’t want to work here anymore.’
Intensive internal training
‘The thing that really strikes me is theinternal training’ says Onno. ‘I have worked in the power transmission industry for 10 years, so this makes me aware of the market. I control the technology and know where I have to pay attention to regarding customer requests. Nevertheless there was an investment of nearly two months to get product knowledge. My focus is on Motion Control with both OEM- and MRO customers.’
